I have just decided to go public with one of my inexcusably weird things.  I am a huge disney princess nerd.

My close friends in college were also disney princess nerds.  I may have gotten them involved, or not, I can't remember.  Anyway:  We used to talk at length about what princesses were smart, beautiful, or even tallented or the best singers.

We ended up making several lists, organizing the disney princesses into hierarchical classifications based on these various criteria.  It is these lists that I am going to post onto facebook in a page that I make, devoted to this classification of the princesses.

For example, in regard to beauty:

Snow white is 1st, with the magic mirror proclaiming her the most beautiful, hands down.

Aurora, from Sleeping Beauty is 2nd, with the red fairy's blessing of beauty.  Supernatural help is assumed to make you more beautiful than normal.

3rd and 4th are tricky.  It's close between Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Cinderalla.  Belle has a whole village worshiping her beauty, even singing about it.  And the local beef-brained muscle-man won't settle for anyone but her.

Cinderella, however, has incurred the wrath of her evil step-family, it is assumed by me, due in large part to her beauty.  And when it comes time for the Prince to pick his bride, he is flat-out bored with everyone in the kingdom, until he sees her.  It is this extremism on the part of the Prince that pulls a 3rd for Cinderella, securing 4th for Belle.

And so on.  My friends and I just got back together after several years apart to go skiing, and as it worked out, see Tangled.  It sparked the age-old debate once again, and has inspired me to post this fun ramblings onto the internet.

Fun fact:  Repunzel easily pulled smartest Princess, and is a damned good candidate for most tallented, even, or at least a first in expertise.
